Unilode Hawthorne, CA seeks an Aircraft Technician to perform high-quality repairs, maintenance, and inspections on aviation components in accordance with OEM publications and Unilode's standards. This role supports safety, quality, and production targets within MRO facilities.

Flexibility for weekend/evening shifts and the ability to lift heavy loads are required; you will document activities, maintain tools, and contribute to process improvements across stations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; beneficial for the role.
  • Knowledge of aviation maintenance regulations and quality systems.
  • Ability to read technical publications, drawings, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory tracking tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs in accordance with OEM publications and MOE.
  • Identify and complete additional maintenance (re-work) requirements as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, aviation regulations, and safety standards.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities and report discrepancies.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Follow work orders and technical documentation with accuracy; support QA processes.
  • Support general station duties and maintain tools, workspace and documentation.

Description

The Technician is responsible for performing high-quality repairs, maintenance, and inspections on aviation components in compliance with OEM technical publications and Unilode’s operational standards. This role ensures safety, efficiency, and compliance within Unilode’s MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) facilities, contributing to smooth station operations and meeting production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform High-Quality Repairs and Maintenance

Customer Focus, Collaborate

  • Conduct repairs in accordance with OEM technical publications and company MOE.
  • Identify and complete additional maintenance (re-work) requirements as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with company procedures, aviation regulations, and safety standards.
Support Operational Efficiency and Compliance

  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance activities and promptly report discrepancies.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces to operational and safety standards.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency.

  • Follow work orders and technical documentation with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Support quality assurance and inspection processes to maintain Unilode’s repair standards.

The Small Print:
