We are searching for a dependable Pest Control Technician to help our clients identify and get rid of various pests.

Responsibilities include inspecting premises, identifying pest problems, implementing control measures, and advising clients on how to prevent further infestation.

Successful candidates must have an eye for detail, a knowledge of various pest control methods, and the ability to interact professionally with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect buildings and premises for signs of pests or infestation
  • Determine the type of treatment needed to eliminate pests
  • Measure the dimensions of the area needing treatment
  • Use baits and set traps to remove or kill pests
  • Apply pesticides in and around buildings and other structures
  • Design and carry out pest management plans
  • Create barriers to prevent pests from entering a building
  • Use equipment such as sprayers, dust applicators, or fumigators to control or kill pests
  • Drive trucks equipped with power spraying equipment
  • Document services provided, chemicals used, and advice given to customers
  • Use appropriate safety equipment and protective clothing to prevent exposure to pesticides

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of pesticides and their safe application
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Comfortability with working in various conditions, including heat and confined spaces
  • State licensure for pest control may be required
