Job summary

TAS Environmental Services, LP is a leading regional provider of environmental services with a focus on emergency response, industrial cleaning and waste management. The Technician supports day-to-day operations, including emergency response, equipment cleaning, inventory management and tank cleaning in a physically demanding environment.

The role emphasizes compliance with state and federal regulations, safety training, and readiness for travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• HAZWOPER and Confined Space certifications preferred.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math.
• Class C (Texas) license or equivalent required.
• OSHA 10/30, MSHA, Confined Space Rescue certifications may be pursued while employed.

Responsibilities

• Handle various products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Perform industrial work and biohazard cleanups.
• Staging, profiling, and processing for disposal of waste.
• Assist in soil, debris removal and spill site cleanup.
• Operate and clean equipment; maintain logs per regulations.

At TAS Environmental Services, LP, the Technician will assist in the day-to-day operations to include emergency response, cleaning of equipment, inventory of supplies and assets, and industrial tank cleaning. Potential for dirty and physically demanding work environment along with strenuous physical labor.

Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handling various products, hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Performing industrial work and biohazard cleanups
• Staging, profiling, and processing for disposal hazardous and non-hazardous waste
• Assist in the removal of soil, debris and other materials, and cleaning up spill sites
• Operate and clean equipment.
• Maintaining logs of working hours in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
• Up to 25% travel as needed - location may differ
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear
• This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing at times
• The employee must frequently lift or move items up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to frequently climb stairs and ladders
• May occasionally deal with heights
• Ability to wear Personal Equipment, including Respiratory Protection
• Consists of both office setting and physical jobsite
• Able to work in confined spaces when needed
• “This position requires working around hazardous waste. To ensure a proper respirator seal, employees must be clean shaven while performing work in these areas.”

Education and Experience:

• HAZWOPER and Confined Space certifications preferred
• Ability to read, write and do mathematics
• Class C (Texas) or equivalent required
• Level 1 Technicians will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining several certifications while employed including:
• HAZWOPER 40
• OSHA 10 and 30
• MSHA(Mine Safety and Health Administration) Certification
• CSE/R(Confined Space Entry/Rescue) Certification
• CPR Certification
• H2S Certification
• First Aid Certification
