Quality Automotive Services, a Valvoline Instant Oil Change franchisee, is hiring for a full-time Customer Service/Entry Technician role in Aurora, CO. No automotive experience is required as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training to start your career in maintenance.

You'll greet customers, explain maintenance results, assist senior techs, learn 18-point checks, oil changes, fluid levels, tires, and safety practices in a fast-paced shop environment with flexible scheduling and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; automotive certification or formal training is a plus but not required.
• Genuine interest in automotive repair and maintenance, with a willingness to learn and grow in the field.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Guest Greeting: Welcome customers with a friendly, positive attitude as they arrive for their stay-in-your-car service.
• Clear Communication: Explain results of 18-point checks and basic services in clear terms, avoiding jargon.
• Trust & Integrity: Build customer trust by following guidelines and recommending only necessary maintenance.
• Teamwork & Efficiency: Collaborate with the team to deliver prompt, high-quality service.
• Continuous Learning: Learn to answer questions about vehicle fluids, filters, and routine maintenance.
• Routine Inspections: Learn and perform our signature 18-point maintenance checks on customer vehicles.
• Oil Services: Learn to perform full-service oil changes, including draining oil and replacing filters.
• Fluid Maintenance: Inspect fluid levels and perform exchanges for transmission, radiator coolant, and differential fluids.
• Tire Care: Check and adjust tire air pressure and learn tire rotations.
• Component Replacement: Learn to test and replace batteries, bulbs, filters, and wiper blades.
• Shop Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized shop and follow safety protocols.

Role Overview

No prior professional automotive experience required! We provide comprehensive, hands-on training to help you start your career in the automotive maintenance industry.

Customer Service Responsibilities

• Guest Greeting: Welcome customers with a friendly, positive attitude as they arrive for their stay-in-your-car service.
• Clear Communication: Assist senior technicians in explaining the results of 18-point maintenance checks and basic recommended services clearly, without using confusing jargon.
• Trust & Integrity: Help build customer trust by following company guidelines and learning to recommend only necessary preventative maintenance.
• Teamwork & Efficiency: Work collaboratively with your team to deliver prompt, high-quality service, respecting the customer's time.
• Continuous Learning: Eagerly learn how to answer basic customer questions regarding their vehicle's fluid levels, filters, and routine maintenance needs.

Technical Responsibilities (Training Provided)

• Routine Inspections: Learn and perform our signature 18-point maintenance checks on customer vehicles to identify preventative maintenance needs.
• Oil Services: Learn to safely and accurately perform full-service oil changes, including draining oil, replacing filters, and refilling to proper levels.
• Fluid Maintenance: Assist in inspecting fluid levels and safely performing fluid exchanges for transmission, radiator coolant, and differential fluids under supervision.
• Tire Care: Check and adjust tire air pressure to manufacturer specifications and learn how to correctly perform tire rotations.
• Component Replacement: Learn how to test and replace 12V vehicle batteries, headlight/ taillight bulbs, cabin and engine air filters, and windshield wiper blades.
• Shop Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment, adhering to all safety protocols and performing additional tasks as assigned.

Work Environment:

This role involves working in a shop environment where employees are required to stand for extended periods, climb stairs, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The job requires mobility to crouch, bend, twist, and work with hands above the head. Employees should be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled setting, with occasional exposure to fumes and loud noises. Flexibility for open scheduling is also required.
