We’re looking for a technical writer who becomes comfortable with both the “technical” and “writer” aspects of the job. The ideal candidate is passionate about crafting comprehensive, accurate, approachable content for a technical audience that helps users understand and connect with sophisticated technical subjects. You enjoy digging into what your audience needs to know to succeed, and collaborating closely with internal developers, and working with other writers to build phenomenal content!

Your Impact
  • Assess the need for, plan, and deliver a range of documentation for Informatica customers, including API content, reference guides, conceptual content, release notes, and how-to/task-based content
  • Collaborate with team members to help scope and build documentation for the features they cover
  • Learn and apply style, language, and structure standards
Required Skills
  • 4 + years of technical writing experience
  • Proven ability in crafting technical, user and administrator-focused content
  • Experience with source control software
  • Ability to read, understand, and build short code samples in a variety of programming languages
  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and IBM i and z/OS operating systems a plus
  • Experience with DITA, Oxygen, content management systems, source control systems, Jira, and Confluence
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new sophisticated technologies
  • A related technical degree required
  • Understand strategies for writing for LLMs and using generative AI to enhance work

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $117,400 - $177,600 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $140,900 - $193,700 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
