RSC2, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Writer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, supporting the SAI contract. The role requires 8+ years in writing and managing technical documentation for military systems, DoD 5000 guidance, and proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat. A Secret clearance is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; four additional years of relevant experience may substitute education.

Responsibilities

• Create, update, coordinate, and staff T&E documents for PD SAI.
• Review TEMP, Test Plans, Test Reports for consistency with DoD requirements.
• Coordinate TEMPs modifications and participate in IPT.
• Assist in requirements research and balance user needs with budget.
• Prepare briefing packages for high-level leadership.
• Write technical articles, reports, brochures, and manuals.
• Coordinate graphics display and document production.
• Ensure content quality and standards compliance.

RSC2 is currently looking for a Senior Technical Writer to join our growing team in Aberdeen to support the newly awarded SAI contract!

Responsibilities

• * Independently creates, updates, coordinates, and staffs T&E documents that are managed under PD SAI.
• Reviews and analyzes current draft and/or approved versions of PD SAI Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMP), Test Plans, Test Reports, and other program documentation for consistency, conformity to C5ISR requirements, adherence to higher headquarters directives, program impacts due to changes, etc. and provide appropriate comments to PD SAI.
• Reviews program documents for consistency of schedules, test strategy, and force level interoperability requirements.
• Coordinates modification to TEMPs; participates in test and evaluation IPT on behalf of PD SAI.
• Assists the combat developer in requirements research by ensuring requirements can be achieved with either current or anticipated technology.
• Evaluating and balancing user desires against anticipated budget expectations and assisting and educating users to encourage the development of testable requirements.
• Provides support in preparing briefing packages for presentation to high level leadership.
• Writes a variety of technical articles, reports brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses.
• Coordinates the display of graphics and the production of the document.
• Ensures content is of high quality and conforms with standards. Requirements * Active Secret clearance level.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience or relevant military service may be substituted for education.
• Experience with DoD 5000, DoD program of record (PoR) documentation, US Army and C4ISR abbreviations and acronyms, proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat software.
• A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in writing, editing and managing technical documentation and operator/maintenance manuals for military systems and equipment's.
