Donatech Corporation seeks a technical writer to develop and revise complex manuals, operating procedures, and maintenance guides for defense products. You will ensure compliance with government standards and translate engineering designs into clear documentation for non-engineering readers.

The role requires collaboration with engineering staff, proficiency with XML authoring tools, Arbortext Epic/Oxygen, and CMS experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, plus 2 additional years of relevant experience.
Experience creating and revising complex technical documentation for defense products.
Proficiency with XML authoring tools and desktop publishing software; CMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Create and revise complex technical documentation to support products and maintenance.
Ensure documents meet customer, government, and company standards and language usage principles.
Translate engineering data into clear manuals and procedures for diverse audiences.
Collaborate with engineering staff to validate procedures and update illustrations/graphics as needed.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and standards in technical communication.
