Job summary

CMT Services, Inc. is hiring a Technical Writer for our Washington, DC on-site team. The role supports the program's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and requires an Active SECRET clearance.

You will create, revise, and maintain technical documents, user manuals, release notes, and SOPs. Collaborate with product management, QA, and SMEs to gather accurate information, ensure compliance with QMS, maintain version control, and assist with audit preparation.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active SECRET clearance is required.
• Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience.
• Familiarity with QMS documentation; ISO 9001 experience is a plus.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills; Plain Language experience a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.

Position Summary:

The Technical Writer creates and maintains the technical documentation behind the program's ISO 9001 Quality Management System, keeping it accurate, consistent and audit ready.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, revise and maintain technical documents, standard operating procedures, user manuals, release notes and related content
• Ensure all documentation aligns with and supports the Quality Management System
• Work with product management, quality assurance and subject matter experts to gather accurate information
• Maintain document version control, templates and style standards
• Support document reviews and audit preparation

Required Qualifications:

• S. citizenship.
• Maintain an Active SECRET clearance.
• Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience
