The Technical Writer provides comprehensive project support by partnering closely with engineers to develop, update, and maintain technical specifications, reports, manuals, presentations, procedures, and other documentation. This role ensures that all technical documents are clear, accurate, compliant with standards, and delivered on time and within budget. The position may also contribute to configuration management activities, including requirements management, design control, document and records management, and issue and change management, while supporting the overall product lifecycle.
The role operates in both office and manufacturing environments, providing exposure to engineering teams and production activities. You work with a variety of document and data management systems, websites, and repositories to support technical publications and configuration management. The position is offered as a 12 month contract with the option to pursue fulltime employment, and it includes negotiable paid time off and holiday benefits. The work setting emphasizes collaboration, visibility, and adherence to industry and customer standards, with a focus on delivering high-quality documentation that supports business products and processes.
This is a Contract position based out of Pensacola, FL.
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
