Job summary

Raytheon's Technical Information Group in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Technical Editor/Writer. This position is an excellent opportunity in the aerospace-defense engineering environment supporting state-of-the art technology through the development of hardware and software technical documentation for end-user Technical Manuals.

What You Will Do

The individual will work with engineers, technical writers, logistic support personnel and system engineering organizations collecting and documenting system architecture and developing applicable technical manuals in accordance with defined standards and contractual requirements. We are looking for someone who is a well-organized self-starter, able to work in a team environment, has good communication and technical skills, and can professionally interact with other organizations. Ability to travel within CONUS ~20%. This role is located onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Qualifications You Must Have

• A University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
• Experience with developing technical documentation and technical writing
• Experience working with engineering documentation

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience in military systems and/or technical manual standards
• Experience with XML markup language

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
