Job Description

Working Hours: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm

*OT on a case-by-case basis

This position supports the Hickory expansion and Newton Cable Annex projects.

The role involves writing, rewriting, and editing technical documents such as manuals, procedures, user guides, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and parts lists. The goal is to communicate technical specifications and instructions clearly to diverse audiences. The candidate will acquire subject knowledge through interviews with product developers, observing production methods, and referring to technical specifications, blueprints, and engineering illustrations. They will oversee the preparation of illustrative materials, selecting appropriate drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts, and conduct quality reviews of all materials.

Qualifications

Requirements: Ability to work effectively in a busy manufacturing environment. Resources may not be readily available, so proactive communication and networking skills are essential.

Education: AAS or BS in an Engineering discipline preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.

Experience: 10+ years preferred, especially in new equipment installation projects or new plant implementations.

Travel: The worker will be based in the Hickory manufacturing facility and the Newton Cable Annex.

Manager Must Haves:

• Technical experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong communication skills with team members and superiors
• Experience coordinating with engineering and technical contacts to develop documentation
