Job summary

Innodata India seeks a detail-oriented engineering professional for a remote contractual role in Civil Engineering & Architecture. You will create and review engineering artifacts, interpret complex diagrams, and contribute to digital simulation and system design efforts.

Applicants should have 2+ years of experience in engineering simulation, modeling, CAE or related fields, with strong writing and communication skills to document analyses and reasoning clearly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in engineering simulation, modeling, digital twins, CAE, verification, validation, or system design involving the interpretation of real-world technical artifacts.

• Create complex visual reasoning problems based on authentic industrial and engineering artifacts.
• Develop tasks that require multi-step reasoning, analysis, troubleshooting, design interpretation, planning, or decision-making.
• Ensure that the visual artifact is essential to solving the problem and that the task cannot be answered from text alone.
• Design questions that emphasize structural, spatial, functional, and systems-level reasoning rather than simple visual lookup or OCR.

Requirement

• Ability to interpret complex diagrams, drawings, schematics, layouts, and system representations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to explain engineering reasoning in a structured and detailed manner.
