Job summary

Advatech Pacific is seeking an Aerospace or Mechanical Engineer to support Checking/Technical Validation of Mechanical Aerospace components. A solid grounding in engineering and design principles for aircraft applications is required, with daily use of ASME Y14.5 GD&T.

The position requires 3–5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience, 1–3 years in Checking, and a BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Applicants must be U.S.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Mechanical Engineering experience.
• 1–3 years of Checking experience.
• Strong understanding of mechanical component design, modeling and drafting.
• Excellent GD&T experience per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience detailing and checking mechanical systems and components.
• Experience with mechanical components, aircraft structures, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, gas turbines or aircraft components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office.

Job description

Advatech Pacificis seeking a Aerospace or MechanicalEngineerto support Checking/Technical Validation of Mechanical Aerospace components. A good knowledge ofEngineering and Design principles for aircraft applications is required. This position will utilizeASME Y14.5 standard on a daily basis.

• 3-5 years Mechanical Engineering experience.
• 1-3 years Checking experience.
• A good understanding ofmechanical component design, modeling and drafting.
• Excellent understanding and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per the requirements of ASME Y14.5.
• Demonstrated design,modeling and draftingexperience to include detailing and checking of mechanical systems and components.
• The ideal candidate shouldhave experience with mechanical components, aircraft structures, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, gas turbines or aircraft components.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to utilize the MS office suite of products.

Education

Requires a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.
