Under general oversight, underwrite and manage a profitable Inland Marine book of business, with a primary focus on construction‑related mobile property and specialized inland marine risks. Evaluate complex new and renewal business, apply sound underwriting judgment, and build lasting relationships with agency partners to drive profitable growth. This individual contributor role offers significant underwriting autonomy and market visibility while partnering closely with agents and brokers to develop business within RLI’s Inland Marine appetite. Success in this role requires strong technical underwriting expertise, relationship‑management skills, and the ability to identify profitable opportunities in a competitive marketplace.
The base salary range for the position is $113,358.00 – $165,220.00. The salary offered will take into account factors including geographic location, experience, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications/credentials, talent availability & specialization, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
