USG Insurance Services, Inc. is hiring a Technical Underwriting Assistant for a hybrid role in Canonsburg, PA. You will provide administrative and technical support to insurance professionals and be part of a Production team, assisting senior staff and brokers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of prior insurance experience in wholesale MGA, retail agency, or insurer.
• Knowledge of Windows-based software and basic typing skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of basic P&C insurance terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Correspond with agents or carriers for information and renewal reminders.
• Request company-issued endorsements.
• Prepping files.
• Binding in the Binding Portals and processing through our in-house system.
• Maintain a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude while performing duties.
• Invoicing and typing Brokerage Endorsements.
• Provide technical and administrative support to attain office-wide objectives.
• Providing timely and accurate customer service.

Hours: 8:30-5:00 Local Time

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 / hour

The Role Itself:

A Technical Assistant at USG plays a crucial role in providing administrative and technical support to insurance professionals. This is the first level of a production career path at USG. Your attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the efficiency of USG. In this position, you will be a member of one or more Production teams and be responsible for tasks assigned by a Senior Production Assistant, Executive Production Assistant, Production Assistant, or designated Producer/Broker(s).

Responsibilities include:

• Correspondence with agents or carriers for additional information needed and handling renewal reminder letters.
• Requesting company-issued endorsements.
• Prepping files.
• Binding in the Binding Portals and processing completely through our in-house system.
• Consistently demonstrate a professional, positive, team-oriented attitude while performing job duties.
• Invoicing and typing Brokerage Endorsements.
• Provide the technical and administrative assistance required to support the attainment of stated office-wide objectives in conjunction with service standards.
• Providing timely and accurate customer service

What We Are Looking For:

• At least 0-1 year of prior insurance experience, prior experience should include either wholesale brokerage/MGA, retail insurance agency, or insurance company experience.
• Knowledge of Windows-based software applications and basic typing skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Knowledge of basic P&C insurance, forms, endorsements, rating methods, and terminology is preferred.
