Technical Trainer delivers training in his/her assigned region, works with the curriculum development team to improve and refine training program content as well as supports other divisional objectives as management assigns. Possess hardware technical expertise and provide training classes supporting internal and external customers.
Your Impact
Training Program Instruction: The Technical Trainer must be proficient in his/her specialty areas covering all management expected levels of training programs and must possess a strong working knowledge and ability to deliver training programs in his/her secondary area of specialization.
Training Program Effectiveness (Delivery): Works with the Sr. Systems & Technical Trainer during the evolution process to ensure that he/she is delivering training program content consistently meeting the standards of the department. Provides coaching and constructive feedback to the students to ensure the support professionals efficiently meet course requirements.
Training/Seminar Content Creation: The Technical Trainer must have the ability to produce and deliver training seminars for internal and external customers through local classes, national training events, and dealer onsite training. Must be able to create and conduct seminars and content in all areas of their specialty and their secondary area of specialization.
Dealer Communication: Conducts dealer visits, discusses training needs, and acquires feedback from dealers on current training programs and systems. Seeks out new areas of development, researches competitors programs and coordinates the information with other trainers and implements key initiatives to ensure Canon’s image as an imaging technology and training leader is best-in-class.
Dealer Visits: Visit “Key Dealers” with or without the Education Support Services Specialist and assist in evaluating dealers training needs. Promote Canon training initiatives and programs, such as ATSP.
Communications: Exhibits excellent written and verbal communication skills. Meets with Engineering and curriculum developers to ensure accuracy of all training delivery programs in the regional training center.
Training Technology: The Technical Trainer must be proficient in all Learning and Training technology and systems to ensure they can provide quality training to students and to the curriculum development team. Additionally, the Technical Trainer must support other trainers in understanding and using the training technology.
Initiative: Participates in assignment of special projects and or special training events (such as the ATP Conference).

We are providing the anticipated base salary range for this role: $70,310 - $81,550 annually.
