Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to work with customers, resolve critical issues, and guide adoption of Salesforce technology. You will serve as a trusted technical partner, providing troubleshooting, guidance, and best practices across the Salesforce platform while supporting 24/7 global operations.

You will collaborate with Product Engineering and other teams to resolve defects, develop technical documentation, and mentor colleagues in troubleshooting frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 2+ years in technical support, software engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.
  • Experience troubleshooting software and debugging code, including Java-based applications.
  • Strong understanding of databases, data management, and SQL.
  • Ability to explain complex tech concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Customer-focused mindset with ability to build consultative relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end customer technical experience by managing support cases from diagnosis to resolution.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to Salesforce platform products like Sales Cloud.
  • Coordinate resolution of high-priority cases with cross-functional teams and engineering when needed.
  • Provide onboarding support and technical discovery sessions for new customers.
  • Guide customers on best practices, product configuration, and architecture to maximize value.
  • Investigate issues, analyze behavior, identify root causes using internal tools.
  • Manage multiple issues simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop deep technical expertise in Salesforce platform functionality.
  • Collaborate with Product Engineering to investigate defects and improve platform.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Mentor teammates through collaborative troubleshooting frameworks like Swarming.
  • Explain complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You will serve as a trusted technical partner to customers by providing expert troubleshooting, guidance, and best practices throughout their use of the Salesforce platform. This role blends deep technical problem-solving, proactive support, and customer-focused guidance to help customers resolve issues efficiently and maximize the value of their Salesforce solutions. The Global Support environment is highly customer-focused and fast-paced, operating globally to provide 24/7 technical support across the Salesforce platform.

Duties & Responsibilities
