Saab, Inc. is seeking a Field Service/Technical Support Engineer to provide outstanding service to customers, both remotely and on-site, across multiple complex systems.

The ideal candidate is motivated, solutions-focused, and eager to help others while building strong customer relationships. You will diagnose and repair electro-mechanical equipment, report issues to engineering, travel up to 25% annually, and support installations and training.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering with 2+ years of related experience, or MA/MS in engineering, or 6+ years in military/aerospace.
• Experience with the design, operation, or maintenance of radar and surveillance systems.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build positive customer relationships through continued, long-term interaction.

Responsibilities

• Support additional company functions, including customer installations and training, as needed.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required, up to 25% annually (approximately 2 - 4 trips per quarter).

Compensation Range: $72,000 - $90,000

The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.

Skills and Experience:

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree in an engineering discipline with 2+ years of related experience, or an MA/MS degree in an engineering discipline, or 6+ years of military or aerospace experience.

• Experience with the design, operation, or maintenance of radar and surveillance systems.

• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to build positive customer relationships through continued, long-term interaction.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Networking experience or certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+).

• Hardware and/or electrical installation experience.

• Experience with Unix, Linux, and MATLAB.

• Active Secret Security Clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain a clearance.
