Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC announces an opening for a Technical Supervisor in the aviation maintenance field. You will lead and mentor a team of technicians, ensuring adherence to manuals, safety practices, and quality standards.

The role requires knowledge of aviation maintenance methods and FAA regulations, plus strong leadership and Microsoft 365 skills. On-site work in California with opportunities for growth and customer-focused outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Quantum Control modules (Inventory Control, Company Management, Customer Quotations, Receiving, Repair Order, Shop Control).
  • A&P or Repairman certification with at least 18 months of experience per 14 CFR Part 65.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise technicians with tools, resources and data.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, inspection, and final inspections per manuals and standards.
  • Train and mentor staff on procedures, safety, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Repair Station Team on scheduling, materials, and tasks.
  • Identify production issues and manage overtime to meet delivery commitments.
  • Support on-site audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections.
  • Motivate team and foster a high-performing workplace culture.

About the Opportunity:

Join our client's dynamic team in the aviation industry as a Technical Supervisor, where you'll play a pivotal role in supervising, training, and guiding a team of skilled technicians. Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise technicians, ensuring they have the required tools, resources, and technical data.

  • Perform Receiving, Preliminary, In-Process, and Final inspections in accordance with applicable manuals and standards.

  • Train and mentor staff on proper work procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.

  • Coordinate with the Repair Station Team on scheduling, materials, and task execution.

  • Identify and escape production issues promptly while managing overtime to meet delivery commitments.

  • Support on-site audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections.

  • Motivate team members and promote a positive, high-performing workplace culture.

Requirements
  • Proficiency in Quantum Control modules, including Inventory Control, Company Management, Customer Quotations, Receiving, Repair Order, and Shop Control.

  • Knowledge of aviation maintenance methods, techniques, tools, and applicable regulations in accordance with 14 CFR § 145.153(a).

  • A&P or Repairman certification with at least 18 months of relevant experience in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications.

  • Excellent multitasking, leadership, organizational, and prioritization skills.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • FAA 14 CFR Part 120 Safety-Sensitive Employee and DOT 49 CFR § 172.704 Hazmat Employee certifications required.
