Job summary

The Daily Wire in Boca Raton, FL seeks a Technical Supervisor to lead production operations for The Ben Shapiro Show and related programs. You will oversee studio, field production, equipment, and remote setups, ensuring high-quality output and efficient workflows.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in live or recorded video, deep know-how of camera, lighting, audio, AVID/Pro Tools/Logic, and experience leading multi-camera productions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in live or recorded video production.
• Experience in broadcast or digital media studio environments preferred.
• Experience with conservative media or fast-paced talk/news formats is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technical operations of the Boca Raton studio, ensuring video, audio, lighting, networking, and comms systems are operational and configured.
• Serve as Director of Photography for in-studio and field shoots, designing and executing lighting setups and directing multi-camera productions.
• Lead all technical aspects of travel and remote shoots, including location scouting, mobile studio setup, gear management, and coordination between studio and remote environments.
• Maintain and organize all production equipment, overseeing inventory, repairs, upgrades, and vendor relations with efficient workflows for recording, ingesting, archiving, and transferring footage.
• Ensure consistent quality control across cameras, lighting, and audio through calibration and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Act as technical point person for the Boca studio, training staff and freelancers and coordinating with Nashville team to maintain unified standards.

The Daily Wire is seeking a Technical Supervisor for our Boca Raton office! This person will be a hands-on leader responsible for high-quality production of all Boca-based programming—primarily The Ben Shapiro Show and related projects. This role oversees all technical operations, including studio and field production, file management, and remote setups.

The ideal candidate is a versatile production expert skilled in camera operation, lighting, audio, set management, and digital workflows. They’ll manage and maintain all production equipment, lead technical setups and breakdowns, and serve as the go-to problem solver for any studio or travel-related challenges.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day technical operations of The Daily Wire’s Boca Raton studio, ensuring all video, audio, lighting, networking, and communication systems are fully operational and properly configured
• Serve as Director of Photography for all in-studio and field shoots, designing and executing lighting setups, directing multi-camera productions, and collaborating with creative teams to achieve visual consistency and meet production standards.
• Lead all technical aspects of travel and remote shoots for The Ben Shapiro Show and other programming, including location scouting, mobile studio setup, gear management, and seamless coordination between studio and remote environments
• Maintain and organize all production equipment, overseeing inventory, repairs, upgrades, and vendor relations while implementing efficient workflows for recording, ingesting, archiving, and transferring footage
• Ensure consistent quality control across all cameras, lighting, and audio systems through regular calibration and proactive troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Act as the technical point person for the Boca studio, training and supporting technical staff and freelancers, and collaborating with the Nashville team to maintain unified standards and workflows across all Daily Wire production locations

Experience & Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in live or recorded video production, ideally within a broadcast or digital media studio environment
• Experience working with conservative media or fast-paced talk/news formats is a plus!
• Expert knowledge of camera systems (Sony, Canon, Blackmagic, RED, etc.), lighting instruments, and audio signal flow incl AVID systems, Pro Tools, and Logic
• Strong experience in multi-camera production and lighting design for both studio and field environments
