Job summary

Graybar Electric Company in Seattle is seeking a Technical Specialist - Industrial Automation to support sales of high-tech automation and control products. You will specify products to meet customer requirements, recommend inventory, and inform staff and customers of new developments in automation technologies.

The role requires knowledge of automation products, strong communication and presentation skills, and the ability to provide technical services for operation and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or field experience required; 4+ years experience preferred.
• Two-year degree required: Technical college or equivalent.
• Knowledge of high-tech automation and control products and engineering principles related to customer automation products.
• Knowledge of operations, sales, and information systems processes.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with management and evaluate customer needs.
• Organizational and team building skills.
• Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts and clearly present complex solutions to non-technical staff.
• Extensive travel required.

This position is also bonus eligible based on specific and relevant business metrics.This role requires the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes.
