Job summary

Clark Pacific is seeking a hands-on Technical Solutions Engineer to develop and support technology and business solutions across the enterprise. You will work with IT and business teams, vendors, and leadership to translate needs into practical, secure, and maintainable solutions, including applications, integrations, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled tools.

Responsibilities include building reusable services, APIs, and data pipelines, supporting analytics, and helping advance automation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years’ experience in application development, database administration, data integrations, or related technical work in business environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, .NET, C#, or VB.NET.
  • Experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Experience with API integrations, file transfers, or event-based processes.
  • Experience using Microsoft Productivity Stack (Teams, SharePoint, Office 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot).
  • Knowledge of data pipelines, analytics tools, AI-enabled tools, or automation solutions is preferred.

Job description

The Technical Solutions Engineer is a hands‑on technical role responsible for developing, supporting, and improving technology and business solutions that enable Clark Pacific’s business outcomes. This person works with IT team members, business groups, and vendors to help translate business needs into practical, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. This role contributes to application development, system integrations, reporting, data management, automation, and emerging AI‑enabled solutions under the guidance of senior technical resources and IT leadership.

Competitive Compensation Range

$47.16/hr. to $53.85/hr. depending on experience

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, maintain, and support business applications and technical solutions.
  • Understand and extrapolate business needs and workflows and identify and recommend improved business processes and tools.
  • Build and maintain reusable services, APIs, scripts, and libraries that support business systems and integrations.
  • Build AI agents and/or other tools under the direction of the Senior Technical Solutions Engineer
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of data pipelines used to collect, transform, and store business data.
  • Support data models, reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions used by business teams.
  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to support automation, AI‑enabled tools, and workflow improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and performance issues.
  • Administer relational and non-relational databases
  • Provide input on effort, technical complexity, and risks for assigned work and project planning.

  • Timeliness: Respond to business requests and questions within 24 hours. Provide weekly feedback on projects assigned. Maintain 80% adherence to schedule timelines.

  • Adoption: Business teams actively using and benefit from delivered solutions.
  • Policy / Procedures: 90% adherence to established IT policy and procedures including technology, security, network standards
Skills And Abilities
  • Strong problem‑solving mindset with the ability to understand business challenges and help develop practical technical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of current technology tools, platforms, and development practices.
  • Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex technical topics in plain language.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, and ability to complete assigned work with appropriate direction.
  • Ability to balance timely delivery with maintainability, security, and supportability.
  • Technical skills in software development, database administration, business intelligence, artificial intelligence tools, and systems integration.
  • Able to exercise appropriate discretion when handling confidential and/or sensitive information.
Work Environment
  • Primary work environments include Clark Pacific offices and manufacturing facilities.
  • There will be periodic exposure to manufacturing environments which may present hazards such as noise, electricity, chemicals, heavy equipment, and other automated and manual machinery.
  • There will be periodic exposure to outside weather conditions, including extreme cold and extreme heat, wet and/or humid environments.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent: Sitting at desk, utilizing computers and phones, standing and walking
  • Periodic: Repetitive foot, leg, hand, arm, shoulder, and torso movements
  • Occasional: Business travel (10%). Bending squatting, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting
Experience And Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years’ experience in application development, database administration, data integrations, or related technical work in business environments.
  • Hands‑on experience with one or more common programming languages, such as Python, JavaScript, .NET, C#, or VB.NET, is required.
  • Experience working with relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL, is required.
  • Experience supporting or maintaining system integrations using APIs, file transfers, or event‑based processes.
  • Experience using, extending, and configuring the Microsoft Productivity Stack (Teams, SharePoint, Office 365, Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI, Copilot) is required.
  • Practical experience with data pipelines, analytics tools, AI‑enabled tools, or automation solutions is preferred.
  • Working understanding of cloud platforms, Azure preferred, including compute, storage, and security concepts.
  • Experience with construction tools including Autodesk Construction Cloud,
  • Tekla, Viewpoint, Bluebeam and other applications used in manufacturing and construction are strongly preferred.
