Job summary

Millennium Computer Systems Limited (MCSL) is part of Banyan Software and joins to deliver specialized higher‑education IT solutions. This Technical Solutions Consultant role is remote in Canada, with Pacific Time hours and full‑time permanence.

You will write and modify Oracle SQL/PL/SQL, deliver custom development for clients, and explain issues clearly to stakeholders while collaborating with the Technical Solutions lead and expanding your role over time.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on development with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients.
• Ability to work 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with higher-education clients to diagnose and fix issues.
• Write and modify Oracle SQL/PL/SQL code and carry fixes to development env.
• Provide custom development for clients as needed.
• Explain technical problems, fixes and next steps clearly to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Technical Solutions lead and own more client work.

Millennium Computer Systems Limited (MCSL) has built software for higher education since 1996. The company started out implementing Banner systems for colleges and universities, then built its own reporting suite, Millennium FAST (Fast Administrative Support Tools). FAST is a web-based reporting and analytics platform that sits alongside major ERPs, including Ellucian Banner and Oracle PeopleSoft. Responsibilities

• Work directly with MCSL’s higher-education clients to diagnose and fix technical issues in their environments
• Write and change Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code to fix client issues, and carry those fixes into MCSL’s own development environment where needed
• Deliver custom development for clients as needed
• Explain technical problems, fixes and next steps clearly to client stakeholders
• Work closely with the Technical Solutions lead and take ownership of a growing share of the team’s client work
• Learn MCSL’s wider stack (ASP.NET, Visual Studio, JavaScript) as the work requires

What you’ll bring

Required

• 3–5 years of hands‑on development experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. This must include writing and changing code, not only support or triage.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to work directly with clients
• Ability to work 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Strongly preferred

• Experience with Ellucian Banner, either technical or functional

Nice to have

• Exposure to ASP.NET, Visual Studio or JavaScript
• Experience in higher education or with university and college clients
• A broad technical background and a track record of picking up new languages and tools quickly

Compensation, remote work and vacancy

• Salary range: $80,000–$100,000 CAD base, depending on experience
• Remote: Fully remote within Canada. Pacific Time preferred. All roles work 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
