Job summary

Infor is seeking a Technical Solution Consultant, Principal (Senior Software Engineer profile) to modernize Managed Services through scalable automation and AI-enabled capabilities. The role is remote (office in India) and focuses on Playwright-based UI automation, REST API validation, and CI/CD-driven delivery.

You will design, code, and maintain an engineering stack that accelerates IMS delivery across ERP customer environments, using TypeScript, Python, and Java.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years building automation frameworks, developer tools, test infrastructure, or enterprise application automation.
• Strong programming experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python, with clean, maintainable, production-ready code.
• Proven experience building maintainable UI automation frameworks using Playwright or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, web app architecture, observability, logging, and automated evidence capture.
• Experience designing enterprise integrations across REST APIs, ServiceNow, SharePoint, ERP systems, cloud services, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging and test generation.

Technical Solution Consultant, Principal (Senior Software Engineer profile) – Automation & AI Transformation Managed Services Engineering | Remote Office, India

We are seeking a senior engineer with deep software development experience to modernize Managed Services through scalable automation and practical AI adoption. You will design and build automation that turns manual enterprise application health checks, release validation, post-deployment verification, and operational runbooks into reliable, reusable, CI/CD-enabled engineering solutions. You will design, code and maintain the engineering stack that makes IMS delivery across Infor ERP customer environments faster and more reliable: Playwright-based UI automation, REST API validation suites, integration services across ServiceNow and monitoring platforms, structured logging and automated evidence capture, all delivered through CI/CD. You will also build AI-enabled capabilities on IMS operational data — incident analysis, service request intelligence, repetitive task identification, and automated remediation — using AI coding tools as part of your daily workflow. This is a hands‑on, code‑first role. It suits an engineer who has stayed close to the code and wants to own real problems at enterprise scale.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 5+ years building automation frameworks, developer tools, test infrastructure, or enterprise application automation.
• Strong programming experience in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, or Python, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, testable, production-quality code.
• Proven experience building maintainable UI automation frameworks using Playwright or comparable tools (Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Puppeteer), covering regression, smoke, and end-to-end validation for enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, web application architecture, browser debugging, observability, logging, and automated evidence capture.
• Experience designing and developing enterprise integrations across REST APIs, ServiceNow, SharePoint, ERP systems, cloud services, and monitoring tools.
• Experience in integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Hands‑on use of AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot or comparable) for coding, debugging and test generation, with sound judgement on validating AI‑generated output.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building reusable automation components, test utilities, and framework patterns that improve scalability, maintainability, and execution speed.
• Experience with cross-browser testing and API automation using Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
• Experience analysing automated test execution results, identifying defects, and improving reliability through failure analysis and root cause review.
• Experience designing, developing and supporting enterprise RPA solutions using UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Microsoft Power Automate, Infor RPA, or equivalent.
• Experience building data processing and transformation solutions across CSV, Excel, JSON, XML, Parquet, and file‑based enterprise workflows.
• Experience building AI‑enabled solutions — intelligent workflow automation, AI agents, knowledge discovery, incident analysis, and operational intelligence.
• Exposure to LLM provider APIs and tool‑use protocols such as Anthropic Claude API, MCP, Azure OpenAI, or OpenAI API.
• Exposure to ERP application health checks, operational validation, Managed Services, production support, or enterprise application reliability.
• Experience building Solution Monitoring (SoMO) capabilities, including automated health checks, event correlation, anomaly detection, operational dashboards, alert intelligence, and proactive service validation across enterprise applications.
