Technical SETA SME – Imagery Science
Position Overview
Advanced sensing and imagery-science SETA SME supporting EO/IR, RF/microwave sensing, signal processing, sensor test/evaluation, and multidisciplinary R&D execution.
What You’ll Do
- Provide technical SETA/SME support aligned to the specialty area and evaluate technical approaches, risks, progress, and results.
- Translate complex technical information into actionable recommendations and program artifacts for R&D stakeholders.
- Support program planning, technical assessment, milestone tracking, and cross-disciplinary coordination where required by the role.
- Prepare to communicate technical work clearly during Guidehouse/customer evaluation, including a short technical seminar.
Required Qualifications
- ACTIVE and MAINTAINED TS/SCI Federal or DoD security clearance with a polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied physics, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or related technical field. A Master’s may be used in lieu of TWO (2) years of relevant work experience.
- SIX (6)+ years of working experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of EO/IR systems standards, procedures, and practices.
- Expertise with microwave, VHF, UHF, or infrared wavelength systems.
- Experience developing, implementing, testing, or analyzing signal-processing, optimization, or ML algorithms.
- Experience or equivalent education using advanced-sensing test/measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, RF test platforms, wireless communications testbeds, biometric sensor test systems, or COTS sensing devices.
- Experience or equivalent education involving telecommunications systems, RF sensing, signal processing, biometric sensing modalities, and/or advanced sensor-system design/evaluation.
- Experience managing a multidisciplinary R&D or T&E team.
- Experience creating program plans, work breakdown structures, and milestone schedules.
Desired / Nice to Have
- Master’s or PhD in listed/relevant technical field with FOUR (4)+ years of work experience.
- FOUR (4) years with LabVIEW, Python, MATLAB, C/C++, embedded systems software, or similar sensing/data-analysis/experimental-automation tools.
- TWO (2) years IC experience including requirements, CONOPS, and transition.
- Awareness of supply-chain, security, and integration considerations for COTS sensing technologies, telecommunications hardware, and RF components.
