Job summary

Guidehouse in Bethesda, MD seeks experienced Technical SETA SMEs to provide independent, objective systems engineering and technical expertise to government programs. You will guide across the full lifecycle, review contractor work, manage requirements, and support readiness and design reviews.

The roles require a active Top Secret SCI with Polygraph clearance, a strong background in one or more Tech areas, and full-time client-site work in Bethesda, MD.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with 8+ years of related field experience.
  • Master's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with 4+ years of related field experience.
  • PhD in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics with 2+ years of related field experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide unbiased systems engineering expertise across the full system lifecycle from concept development to sustainment.
  • Review, analyze, and validate contractor technical deliverables for compliance with requirements and mission needs.
  • Support requirements development, traceability, verification methods, and acceptance criteria.
  • Assist with program planning, acquisition strategies, risk management, scheduling, and technical baseline reviews.
  • Develop and evaluate technical documentation such as interface control documents, system specifications, test plans, and analyses.
  • Support readiness assessments, design reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to government leadership.
  • Conduct independent research, trade studies, and market assessments to inform decisions.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architectures, security policies, and cross-program integrations.
  • Facilitate communication among government customers, contractors, and mission partners.
