Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) is seeking a Technical SETA - Microbiologist/Microbial Ecologist to provide onsite support in Arlington, VA.

The role requires translating microbiology principles into actionable capabilities and evaluating methodologies, workflows, and data pipelines for senior DARPA and DoD leadership. The candidate should hold a Master’s degree, have 6+ years of relevant experience, and possess an active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing multiple work streams in fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of protein synthesis and expression.
• Active Top Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide foundational subject matter expertise and programmatic support to DARPA BTO Program Manager.
• Translate core microbiology principles into actionable capabilities.
• Evaluate performer microbiology methodologies, workflows, and data pipelines.
• Plan and support program reviews, site visits, workshops, demonstrations, and technical interchange meetings.
• Develop decision-quality briefings, white papers, and portfolio assessments for senior leadership.
