Job summary

Sensient Technologies in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to support color system performance in food and beverage applications.

You will lead site trials, troubleshoot processes, and collaborate with EHS, Quality, Engineering and Operations to optimize product performance. You will develop formulations, communicate new color technologies, and participate in new product development to drive revenue growth for Sensient's North America colors and ingredients portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related technical field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food ingredients.
• Analytical, results-driven leader with a proactive mindset and career growth orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong manufacturing acumen.
• Ability to bridge commercial and manufacturing teams to drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical customer support to optimize color system performance in food/beverage applications.
• Partner with EHS, Quality, Engineering and Operations to troubleshoot color/process challenges.
• Lead customer-site plant trials and production support for successful implementation.
• Conduct lab and production trials to diagnose process issues and develop solutions.
• Support formulation development, ingredient recommendations, and optimization of customer products.
• Communicate and demonstrate new color technologies and application solutions.
• Drive innovation by supporting new product development and evaluating raw materials.

This exciting and dynamic role will be a strategic thinker responsible for identifying new product opportunities, improving product line profitability, and managing product lifecycles. You will ultimately be responsible for driving revenue growth and supporting the overall Food Colors North America strategy.

What you'll do:

• Provide technical customer support to optimize color system performance in food and beverage applications.
• Partner with customer EHS, Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve color and process challenges.
• Lead customer-site plant trials and production support, ensuring successful implementation and performance of finished products.
• Conduct laboratory and production trials to diagnose process issues and develop effective technical solutions.
• Support application projects through formulation development, ingredient recommendations, and optimization of customer products.
• Communicate and demonstrate new color technologies and application solutions to improve product performance and customer outcomes.
• Drive innovation by supporting new product and concept development, evaluating raw materials, and resolving technical customer complaints across Sensient's food ingredient portfolio.
