Job summary

Elessent Clean Technologies is seeking a Technical Services Process Engineer to support STRATCO sulfuric acid alkylation customers across North and South America. You will provide process engineering, troubleshooting, startups, reliability improvements, training, and technical consulting to help optimize operations.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of refinery or petrochemical experience.
• 2–3 years as a Process Engineer supporting a STRATCO sulfuric acid alkylation unit.
• Strong understanding of alkylation, fractionation, refrigeration, hydraulics, process control, and refinery operations.
• Outstanding written, verbal, presentation and public speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 40–60% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, optimization, startup and turnaround support.
• Develop operating recommendations, technical reports and best practices.
• Develop and deliver customer operator and engineer training programs.
• Support reliability, maintenance, inspections and revamps.
• Partner with Sales to identify aftermarket equipment, reliability improvements and upgrade opportunities.
• Present technical papers and represent Elessent before customers and industry organizations.
• Develop innovative technical solutions, new service offerings and future STRATCO technology improvements.
• Develop working knowledge of BELCO wet scrubbing and IsoTherming hydroprocessing technologies and progressively support those businesses.

Technical Services Process Engineer – STRATCO® Alkylation

Position Summary

Support STRATCO® sulfuric acid alkylation customers throughout North and South America by providing process engineering, troubleshooting, startups, reliability improvements, training, and technical consulting. The successful candidate will become a trusted technical advisor while partnering with Business Development to identify growth opportunities, equipment upgrades, and technical service opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical Engineering required.
• 5–7 years of refinery or petrochemical experience.
• Minimum 2–3 years as a Process Engineer supporting a STRATCO® sulfuric acid alkylation unit.
• Strong understanding of alkylation, fractionation, refrigeration, hydraulics, process control, and refinery operations.
