Love Communications, a Salt Lake City-based agency, seeks a contract Technical SEO Specialist to support the SEO & Content Manager. You will run weekly diagnostics, deliver actionable recommendations, and improve site health, indexability, and organic visibility across search engines and AI search engines.

Love Communications is a Salt Lake City-based, full-service advertising, digital, and public relations firm that represents some of the most successful companies in the region, the country, and the world.

We are looking for a contract Technical SEO Specialist. You will work closely with our SEO & Content Manager, running weekly diagnostic reports and delivering clear, actionable recommendations to improve technical site health, indexability, organic visibility, and performance across both traditional search engines and emerging AI search engines.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical SEO Auditing: Run routine and deep-dive technical audits across 5 client domains using Screaming Frog and SEMrush to spot indexing errors, schema issues, crawl budget inefficiencies, and site speed/Core Web Vitals bottlenecks.
• Weekly Reporting: Compile and deliver weekly technical health reports and performance digests to the SEO & Content Manager.
• Data & Performance Analysis: Monitor organic search metrics, traffic and query shifts, and technical anomalies using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC).
• Actionable Recommendations: Translate technical findings into clear, prioritized task lists for developer and content teams.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Location: Must be based in the Salt Lake City, UT area and able to work in-office for the first 6 weeks (transitioning to flexible hybrid/remote for the remainder of the contract).
• Experience: Proven freelance or agency background in technical SEO auditing, implementation, and reporting.
• Tool Mastery: Advanced proficiency in SEMrush (Core & AI Visibility), Screaming Frog, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), and Google Search Console (GSC). Knowledge of Google Lighthouse, Web MCP integration, and LLMS.txt to help boost technical SEO.
• AI Search Knowledge: Solid understanding of AI search paradigms, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), structured data/schema markup, and modern search engine indexing.
• Communication: Ability to distill complex technical SEO findings into concise, executive-level weekly summaries and actionable recommendations to the SEO & Content Manager.
• Duration: 6 months
• Hours: ~10 hours per week
