Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Field Design Engineer to drive design wins and support customer applications within a designated territory. This role blends technical expertise with business development and account management to help OEM customers bring innovative products to market.

You will collaborate with engineers, distributors, and internal teams as a trusted technical advisor, while identifying new opportunities and expanding strategic relationships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Technical Sales, Field Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related customer-facing engineering role.
• Experience supporting OEM customers in semiconductor, industrial, aerospace, defense, medical, or electronics markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop new design-win opportunities and expand existing customer accounts.
• Execute territory growth plans with Sales and Account Management teams.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
• Support customers through the design cycle from concept through implementation.
• Deliver application support, design reviews, and troubleshooting assistance.
• Assist with product qualification, validation, and technical issue resolution.
