Job summary

Lakeside Manufacturing, Inc. in Milwaukee is seeking a Sales Engineer to join the Engineering team. You will provide technical sales support, interact with customers, and help tailor stainless steel cart solutions to meet requirements.

The role emphasizes design collaboration using SolidWorks and AutoCAD, cost estimation, and field visits to understand customer operations. You will work cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D; familiarity with AutoCAD required.
• Experience creating CAM programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong customer interaction and ability to communicate with decision-makers.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to inspire others.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer needs and engineer product adaptations.
• Review customer specifications and sales agreements.
• Prepare cost estimates and support pricing decisions.
• Design layouts using SolidWorks; read AutoCAD drawings.
• Visit customer sites to understand operations and identify opportunities.
• Provide technical support to customers, service teams, and sales.
• Collaborate with fabrication, welding, and assembly to resolve issues.
• Create buildable drawings for production.
• Manage ECOs and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Stay current on industry developments and methods.
