Role Description

The Technical Project/Program Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in San Diego, CA. This role manages both R&D projects and Direct Work programs, providing direction and oversight of the technical, financial, personnel, and other related aspects of each effort. Job duties in this role include working with customer stakeholders to understand program requirements; communicating with customer representatives to provide status updates and gather feedback; establishing work plans based on technical objectives and expected deliverables; managing project budgets and making key work-plan decisions to ensure cost projections align with funding levels.Responsibilities also include and identifying, pursuing, and acquiring future business opportunities.

Day-to-day activities include defining program scope and milestones, managing project schedules and resources, tracking risks and dependencies, and facilitating communication among engineering, product, and operations teams. The Technical Project/Program Manager will collaborate closely with development teams to clarify requirements, support technical decisions, and remove obstacles to progress. This role also includes reporting on program status to stakeholders, optimizing processes for efficiency, and driving continuous improvement in program execution and delivery quality.
