Job summary

Teradyne seeks an experienced Technical Project Manager with a strong optical system design background to oversee advanced optical test solutions for silicon photonics. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive project plans, budgets, and milestones, and ensure customer satisfaction from inception through delivery.

The role requires a blend of technical leadership, PM acumen, and the ability to manage complex programs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline; master’s degree preferred.
• Certifications in optical engineering are a plus.
• 5+ years experience in optical systems design and project management.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
• Proficiency with PM tools (Primavera, Microsoft Project).

• Lead and manage projects involving the design, development, and deployment of optical test systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet milestones and budgets.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets; monitor progress.

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Project Manager with a strong background in optical system design to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing project teams that develop advanced optical test solutions for the Silicon Photonics market. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and project management acumen to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.

• Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and monitor progress against these metrics.


• Identify and mitigate risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle


• Communicate project status, updates, and issues to stakeholders, senior management, and customers


• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and clients


• Manage project documentation, including specifications, design documents, test plans, and reports


• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project team

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $140,500-$224,800. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan

This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
