Job summary

Protingent Staffing is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a direct hire in Pasadena, California. You will own project execution end-to-end for technical programs supporting satellite and defense industry customers, coordinating internal resources and subcontractors to meet milestones.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, or related discipline, plus at least 3 years of relevant PM experience and proficiency with Microsoft Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant project management experience.
• Experience managing complex technical projects, ideally including large satellite programs.
• Experience working with major defense sector clients/contractors.
• Strong cost management and vendor/subcontractor management experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Own project execution end-to-end for technical programs supporting satellite and defense industry customers.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and set internal and external milestones using Microsoft Project.
• Scope and manage project budget and cost performance.
• Identify and coordinate internal resources to complete project tasks.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, for both external customers and internal leadership.
• Manage meeting agendas and action items, from status meetings through design reviews.
• Track and report progress to external customers and internal leadership.
