At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As a Technical Project Manager (TPM) embedded within the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) organization, you will be the delivery engine behind our Manufacturing Engineering process management driving standardization of ME workflows, adoption of enterprise automation and digital tools, and reduction of recurring and non-value-added (NVA) tasks. Your customers are the manufacturing engineers and the manufacturing organization. Your job is to make them measurably faster, more consistent, and more productive.

Special Mentions: Relocation provided. Travel expected up to 5% of the time.

Responsibilities
  • Drive standardization of ME workflows, documentation, and best practices
  • Identify, prioritize, and manage initiatives that eliminate recurring, manual, and non-value-added (NVA) ME tasks, tracking and reporting measurable time savings and productivity gains
  • Establish and maintain a structured process to track engineering changes across the product lifecycle, ensuring visibility, traceability, and timely disposition of changes across Manufacturing Engineering
  • Define and track operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) improvements.
  • Establish and lead the ME portfolio operating rhythm including recurring reviews, gate/readiness checkpoints, and metrics cadences
  • Champion adoption of automation and advanced data-visualization solutions
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of technical project/program management experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in aerospace, spaceflight, or other highly regulated, low-volume/high-complexity manufacturing environments.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project/program management certification.
  • Experience managing Manufacturing Engineering (ME) process-improvement, standardization, automation, or knowledge-management programs.
  • Familiarity with production readiness standards such as Aerospace Standard 6500 (AS6500), Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs), and Production Readiness Levels (PRLs).
  • Experience standing up operating rhythms, KPI/metrics dashboards, and standardized program-management processes across multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) / Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and Manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM) / Material Requirements Planning (MRP) workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in technical project or program management, ideally supporting manufacturing, production, or engineering organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a cross-functional portfolio independently, owning projects from intake through adoption with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated change-management and adoption experience (communication planning, training coordination, adoption tracking) for tool, process, or standard rollouts.
  • Data fluency: experience defining and tracking KPIs and building or directing dashboards/data visualizations (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau), and comfort scoping automation/scripting/artificial-intelligence–enabled workflow improvements.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority, with strong facilitation skills to run reviews, drive decisions, and adjudicate competing priorities in real time.
