We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to drive technology-enabled initiatives across its Private Equity platform, with a focus on Credit and Insurance strategies. The ideal candidate combines private equity or finance knowledge with a strong technical and product mindset, operating as a hands‑on leader in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technology and data projects that support investment, portfolio monitoring, and risk management for Credit and Insurance businesses.
- Translate strategic objectives from deal teams, underwriting, portfolio management, and operations into detailed project plans, requirements, and execution roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, data, operations, finance, and third-party vendors) to deliver high-impact solutions on time and within scope, leveraging tools such as JIRA, Sigma, and Excel for planning, tracking, and analysis.
- Design and refine workflows, dashboards, and reporting that provide actionable insights into fund performance, credit risk, insurance metrics, and operational KPIs.
- Serve as a trusted partner to senior investment professionals, helping them frame problems, prioritize use cases, and evaluate technology trade-offs with clear, practical judgment.
- Define and track project success metrics, ensuring stakeholder alignment, user adoption, and continuous improvement based on data and feedback.
- Proactively identify process gaps and automation opportunities across investment operations, pipeline management, policy administration, and portfolio analytics, and drive pragmatic solutions from concept through implementation.
- Produce clear documentation (business requirements, process flows, runbooks, SOPs) and support training and change management for users across the client.
- Manage project risks, dependencies, and issues with a bias toward action, escalation when appropriate, and common‑sense decision‑making.
Candidate Profile:
- 5-10 years of experience in fintech (Private Credit a plus) in roles such as technical project manager, program manager, product manager, or senior business analyst.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts relevant to private credit and insurance, and how they translate into data, systems, and processes.
- Proven track record delivering complex, cross‑functional projects in a high‑expectation environment, ideally at a top‑tier financial institution, PE firm, or leading technology organization.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and detailed levels, moving seamlessly from executive discussions to hands‑on project execution.
- Self‑starter and go‑getter who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and drives outcomes without heavy supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior stakeholders and translate technical details into business language.
Skills and Tools:
- Proficiency with JIRA (or similar tools) for backlog management, sprint planning, project tracking, and status reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis, portfolio modeling, and KPI tracking.
- Solid understanding of data architectures, APIs, and integration patterns, and comfort collaborating closely with engineering and data teams on solution design.
- Strong understanding of modern system architectures, including cloud‑native platforms, microservices, service‑oriented architecture, data pipelines, event‑driven integrations, and enterprise application ecosystems.
- Experience partnering with technology teams on API design, system integrations, data model reviews, technical requirements, solution architecture discussions, and end‑to‑end delivery across upstream and downstream platforms.
- Familiarity with software delivery practices, including Agile delivery, SDLC governance, DevOps concepts, release planning, testing coordination, environment management, and production implementation readiness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Sigma, Power BI, or similar business intelligence platforms to design and manage dashboards and self‑service analytics for investment and insurance stakeholders.
- Familiarity with credit products, including private credit or structured credit, and/or insurance business models, such as life, property and casualty, or specialty lines, as well as related underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management metrics.
- Experience with platforms commonly used in private equity and financial services, including CRM systems, portfolio monitoring tools, data warehouses, or low‑code platforms.
Personal Attributes:
- Hands‑on, resourceful, and detail‑oriented, with a strong sense of ownership over delivering outcomes rather than just managing processes.
- Curious, analytical, and intellectually rigorous, while remaining grounded in practical, business‑oriented trade‑offs.
- Comfortable engaging with senior leaders, managing up, and navigating competing priorities with maturity and discretion.
