Sikla USA, Inc. in Suwanee, GA seeks a Technical Project Coordinator/Specialist to act as the technical interface across Customer Service, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Warehouse, with a strong prefabrication and cutting focus.

The role translates inquiries into fabrication-ready drawings and BOMs, creates/modifies shop drawings in AutoCAD, and supports ERP data accuracy to improve efficiency and project outcomes. This is a full-time on-site position in Georgia.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical liaison between Customer Service, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Warehouse for prefab and cutting orders.
• Interpret inquiries, RFQs, drawings and specs to develop accurate technical solutions.
• Create/validate Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support quotations and costing.
• Create/modify shop drawings in AutoCAD when Sikla drawings are unavailable.
• Ensure all technical docs (drawings, BOMs, cut lists) are complete before order release.
• Translate customer requirements into fabrication-ready packages for production.
• Coordinate with operations and warehouse to enable efficient execution of prefab and cutting jobs.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies across departments to maintain data integrity.
• Update project data in ERP systems and contribute to process improvements.

Job Description

The Technical Project Coordinator/ Specialist acts as a key technical interface between Customer Service, Engineering, Project Management, Operations, and Warehouse Teams, with a strong focus on prefabrication (prefab) and cutting-related projects. This role supports the full quote-to-order process, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into accurate technical solutions, including drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and fabrication-ready documentation. The position plays a critical role in ensuring technical accuracy, improving operational efficiency, and enabling successful project execution. The ideal candidate combines technical drafting capabilities, commercial understanding, and operational coordination skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical liaison between Customer Service, Engineering, Project Management, and Operations for all prefab and cutting-related customer orders.
• Interpret customer inquiries, RFQs, drawings, and specifications to develop accurate technical solutions.
• Support the quotation and costing process by creating and validating Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Create and modify shop drawings using AutoCAD when standard Sikla drawings are not available.
• Ensure all technical documentation (drawings, BOMs, cut lists, specifications) is complete and accurate before order release.
• Translate customer requirements into fabrication-ready packages for warehouse and production teams.
• Coordinate closely with operations and warehouse teams to support efficient execution of prefabrication and cutting jobs.
• Identify and resolve technical discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies across departments.
• Maintain and update project data within ERP systems to ensure data integrity.
• Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Provide technical support and guidance to Customer Service and Sikla team members.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, mechanical layouts, and construction-related documentation.
• Hands-on experience with AutoCAD (or similar CAD software) for drafting and shop drawings.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (BOM structuring, calculations, data validation); proficiency in Word and PowerPoint required.
• Experience working with ERP systems and structured workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate across departments.

Education, Experience & Soft Skills

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Drafting/Design, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field preferred.
• Minimum 3– 5 years of relevant experience in:
  • Technical Sales Support / Inside Sales Engineering
  • Drafting (AutoCAD)
  • Engineering or project coordination
• Experience in construction, MEP systems, steel structures, or prefabrication environments is a strong advantage.
• Experience in quotation, costing, or project-based customer support is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (American English).
• High level of reliability, accountability, and ownership.

Job Type / Compensation / Benefits

• Full time (40 hrs/week).
• Working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., onsite.
• Location: Suwanee 30024, and Buford 30519 (starting Q1 2027), Georgia.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
