Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Technical Program Support Engineer to support DISA-provided capabilities at Fort Meade, MD. The role will leverage SME-level expertise to provide program integration, sustainment, and management support for the GSMO-II contract.

Candidates should have strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and a proven track record in systems engineering within DoD networks, with a Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (or related discipline) and 12-15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience performing requirements analysis
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong customer relation skills
  • Clearance: US Secret clearance required

Responsibilities

  • Synchronize and coordinate activities with external teams, providing evaluation and feedback on all coordination efforts.
  • Coordinate work across internal and external stakeholder teams, documenting outcomes, assessing progress, and communicating feedback.
  • Maintain active coordination with project stakeholders, tracking dependencies and incorporating evaluations and feedback into ongoing activities.
  • Develop troubleshooting and support-system training for network administrators and operators.
  • Create concise quick-start guides and training materials for mission partners and end users.
  • Support formal change management activities and participate in applicable configuration control boards.
  • Assess, prototype, and test emerging technologies for potential integration into the DISN environment and future capability enhancements.
  • Plan and conduct verification and validation activities for the deployment, installation, and operational transition of network infrastructure and supporting enterprise tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network performance and provide sound technical recommendations to the program engineering team.
  • Research, assess, and validate emerging technologies for potential incorporation into program system capabilities.
  • Conduct testing, verification, and validation activities supporting infrastructure deployment, installation, and transition into operational service.
  • Administer and sustain laboratory components at DISA Fort Meade, including patching, baseline management, system maintenance, and lifecycle support.

Our customer, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), provides, operates, and assures command and control of the Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations.This position directly supports DISA-provided capabilities and services.

The Leidos Digital Sector/Global Solutions Management-Operations II (GSMO-II) contract has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a Technical Program Support Engineer in Fort Meade, MD. The Engineer will leverage Subject Matter Expert (SME) level expertise to provide program integration, sustainment, and management support.

Core Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting, or strong familiarity with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) networks and services.
  • Experience with ITIL service delivery concepts and best practices.
  • Experience with change, configuration and performance management NetOps concepts.
  • Experience with network layered encryption topologies and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with system security, design, and architecture.

Pay Range: $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
