This position requires you to be on site 5 days a week at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB) or Reston, VA.

The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who creates clarity for the team, maintains visibility into project status and priorities, anticipates and resolves issues, and ensures commitments to the client are met while balancing delivery, team, financial, and technical priorities. The role requires sufficient technical knowledge of data and analytics to effectively lead technical staff, understand project requirements and risks, and communicate technical work to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Project and Delivery Leadership

  • Own day-to-day project execution and ensure work is completed accurately, on time, and in accordance with contract requirements and client expectations.

  • Translate project objectives and client priorities into project plans with clear tasks, owners, schedules, milestones, and expected outcomes.

  • Proactively identify and address dependencies, competing priorities, resource constraints, and delivery risks, and monitor commitments and action items to ensure issues are resolved or appropriately escalated.

  • Ensure deliverables meet established standards for quality and completeness.

  • Maintain required project documentation and artifacts in established project repositories.

Team Leadership

  • Lead personnel assigned to the project, setting clear expectations for responsibilities, priorities, timelines, and quality.

  • Delegate work effectively while maintaining appropriate oversight and accountability.

  • Monitor team performance and provide timely feedback, coaching, and support.

  • Manage workload, leave, coverage, and utilization to maintain continuity of client support.

  • Coordinate staffing needs and personnel transitions, including effective knowledge transfer.

  • Support team members' professional development and opportunities for increased responsibility.

Client and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders.

  • Develop a strong understanding of client priorities and ensure team activities remain aligned to them.

  • Lead recurring client and project meetings, proactively communicating status, risks, changes, decisions, and action items to client and internal stakeholders.

  • Manage client expectations and work collaboratively to resolve delivery, staffing, scope, and planning issues.

Program and Financial Management

  • Maintain visibility into project staffing, labor usage, budget, utilization, and forecasted resource needs.

  • Complete and maintain Estimates at Completion (EACs) and other required project financial forecasts.

  • Review project hours and labor data and coordinate with project control and financial staff to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for company leadership, leading or supporting Project Management Reviews (PMRs), recurring project reporting, and other internal program reviews.

  • Escalate financial, staffing, schedule, scope, or performance concerns with recommended actions.

Technical and Analytical Leadership

  • Provide oversight for teams performing data analysis, visualization, dashboard development, and related technical consulting, applying sufficient understanding of data transformation, databases, and analytical methods to oversee technical delivery.

  • Frame analytical problems and guide teams in identifying practical approaches and solutions.

  • Ensure analytical outputs clearly address client business or research questions and communicate meaningful insights.

  • Facilitate collaboration among technical staff, analysts, consultants, and client stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, business, or another related quantitative or technical discipline.
