Job description

Technical Program Manager, Space Battle Management

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold.

Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI‑powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime 3‑D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

As part of the Space team, the role focuses on delivering AI‑powered hardware and software systems to enhance Space Domain Awareness, Space Control, and command and control for U.S. military and allied partners. We are developing fully integrated hardware and software systems, including Lattice for Space Missions and modular payloads, to address growing threats in space and ensure our guardians maintain a decisive advantage in this contested warfighting domain.

We are hiring a Technical Program Manager for our Space business line. The TPM will lead day‑to‑day execution of program initiatives, working with Business Operations to manage the budget and schedule, and with the customer and the Growth team to meet technical objectives while adhering to all contractual requirements.

This role is directly tied to an ongoing, funded program that requires building and fielding a resilient, software‑defined, distributed mesh‑networking layer and C2 capabilities for critical Space Domain Awareness data. We work with mission partners and operators to deploy reliable and robust capabilities on operationally relevant fielding timelines to meet complex challenges across the DOD and IC.

What you’ll do
  • Own the project from start to finish with the customer and engineering team. Develop the technical path for success, identify engineering needs, and validate projected product outcome with the customer.
  • Engage side‑by‑side with customers to understand their mission challenges and represent their perspective to Anduril engineers.
  • Collaborate across internal teams—engineering, product, logistics, finance, legal, contracting, technical operations—to build the solution and pivot development as needed.
  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate the path to success with internal and external partners. Build sprint plans, execution plans, and milestones.
  • Drive business growth through customer success, establishing trusted partnerships to solve immediate problems and foresee future opportunities that leverage Anduril’s technology.
Required qualifications
  • Experience designing, developing, or leading complex software development programs in support of advanced C2 capabilities in any domain
  • Demonstrated experience managing software products through direct end‑user engagement over a prolonged, iterative development cycle
  • B.S. (minimum) in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 4+ years relevant industry experience
  • Experience with the deployment and integration of sophisticated hardware and software systems
  • Experience with building and leading cross‑functional teams
  • Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, teach, lead and follow
  • Comfortable with setting and achieving goals in an amorphous environment
  • Comfortable with working in limited resource environments
  • Prior systems engineering or software integration experience is a plus
  • Currently possess and can maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance
Preferred qualifications
  • Understanding of existing systems architectures that support ground and orbital systems contributing to Space Domain Awareness and Space Control
  • Operational experience and understanding of the Joint Targeting Cycle with regard to Space Warfighting capabilities and concepts of operations
  • Broad understanding of current and emerging capabilities deployed within the Space domain
  • Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to successful completion of projects
  • Able to perform in fast‑paced environment
  • Collaborative problem solving to achieve work goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and simplify complex problems
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative team environment
  • Lead team to develop solutions to complex, time‑sensitive problems
  • Maintain customer relationship with timely, accurate, and meaningful communications
  • Creation of project proposals, program plans, reports, and process documentation
