Job summary

Applied Materials in Massachusetts is seeking a Technical Project Manager, E2 to lead cross-functional software initiatives within a semiconductor environment. You will coordinate planning, manage schedules, track risks, and drive delivery of software projects across engineering, product, and operations teams.

The role requires proficiency with Agile practices, strong communication, and the ability to align technical work with business priorities. Travel: 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience supporting or managing technical or software development projects in a semiconductor, embedded software, or related engineering environment.
• Working knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, project scheduling, risk tracking, and cross-functional execution.
• Proficiency with Agile software development methodologies and experience participating in or facilitating Agile team ceremonies and delivery planning.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end planning and execution of software projects in support of semiconductor products and development initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across software engineering, hardware engineering, validation, quality, product management, and operations to support successful project delivery.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, status reviews, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies to maintain team alignment and execution momentum.
• Partner with technical teams to develop an understanding of architecture, development constraints, integration points, and release requirements.
• Drive clear communication among internal teams and external partners where applicable and promote process consistency and continuous improvement.
