Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead hardware-focused NPI initiatives for data center infrastructure in Sunnyvale, CA. You will bridge hardware, software, and operations, guiding test strategies and manufacturing plans to scale AI infrastructure.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, risk management, and delivering high-quality, reliable systems for Google's global cloud platform.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience driving new product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing engineering for hardware products.
  • Experience with test engineering or working with data center products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for test development initiatives related to the Google Cloud product roadmap, with a primary focus on rack integration test and In-Circuit Test (ICT) test.
  • Collaborate with test engineers and product managers to understand manufacturing test requirements and translate them into test strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, addressing challenges to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Drive communication with internal stakeholders and partners for manufacturing test development status via reviews and dashboards, and work with design engineering teams to manage dependencies for test development.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.

Job description

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.

  • Experience with test engineering or working with data center products.
Preferred qualifications
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 5 years of experience as a technical program manager in hardware development environments.

  • Experience managing technical projects, including planning, execution, and delivery.

As a leader within our New Product Introduction (NPI) team, you will navigate the complex journey from design prototype to high-volume production.
You will be the glue between Hardware, Software, and Operations defining test strategies, optimizing system-level performance, and solving the technical roadblocks that come with deploying AI infrastructure at scale.
