Job summary

Google seeks a Technical Program Manager to lead complex OT security programs across Data Center Central Operations. You will plan requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners, including executives and engineers, to implement security practices across global data centers.

• Develop and drive program implementation, long-term strategy, cross-site execution, and resource prioritization for information security across Google’s Data Centers.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define security postures and drive continuous improvements.
• Guide and optimize OT security programs to drive consistency and efficiency across teams, measuring OKR impact.
• Collaborate with multiple teams across DC Central Operations and related groups to implement security initiatives.

Minimum qualifications

Preferred qualifications

• Direct experience working in an operational control room or plant environment (e.g., manufacturing, utility/power generation, data center operations, or heavy industrial operations).
• Direct experience with cybersecurity initiatives, threat assessments, vulnerability management, or incident response within an industrial control systems (ICS) or Operational Technology (OT) environment.
• Experience with data analytics, SQL, dashboarding, or status reporting tools to track program metrics and communicate progress to leadership.

You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Data Center Central Operations is responsible for keeping these sites operating efficiently and safely. This role will provide the technical expertise and tactical site-specific support for innovation and continuous improvements to information security (e.g., PLCs, electrical switchgear and mechanical heavy equipment). The role will be responsible for working with numerous cross functional teams and stakeholders to implement a vision for innovative site security processes and technologies, as well as directly driving improvements across a basket of physical Data Center sites. Along with the rest of the Fleet Health team within DC Central Operations, you will work cross functionally with the larger Technical Infrastructure organization, collaborating with core teams in Global Server Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement, Data Center Operations, Advanced Technology and Innovation, DC Engineers, and other teams.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

• Own information security programs for industrial equipment and facility assets within LATAM, while leading one or more OT security workstreams globally.
• Develop and drive program implementation, long-term strategy, cross-site execution, and resource prioritization for information security efforts across Google’s fleet of Data Centers in partnership with global engineering and regional teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define/measure security postures, establish new business processes to proactively address weaknesses, and drive continuous improvements.
• Guide and optimize complex operational technology security programs to drive consistency, efficiency, and economies of scale across multiple teams, measuring success by direct impact on product area-level OKRs.
• Leverage control system insights and experience to influence and inform stakeholders across DC Central Operations, DC Software, and site-specific teams.
