Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead AI-driven shopping projects in the Consumer Shopping team. You will coordinate cross-functional groups, plan requirements, identify risks, and communicate with executives and engineers about tradeoffs and execution.

In this role, you will help shift from traditional search results to proactive, AI-powered shopping experiences, acting as the operational linchpin for ambitious bets across Google surfaces and Merchant Shopping ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with software feature launches.
  • Experience using AI for features and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive multiple cross-organization workstreams across, managing high complexity projects including full project management, creation and maintenance of documentation, and tracking timelines and deliverables.
  • Manage goal setting and execution with lead stakeholders, as well as drive development and execution of new feature planning and prioritization.
  • Own communication of overall program progress and necessary decision-making with relevant internal team and leadership stakeholders.
  • Develop, improve, and execute internal operational processes to optimize team delivery speed and quality.
  • Ensure post-launch impact measurement and help the team track and address key metrics trends.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in the search and commerce technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with experience communicating to broad sets of stakeholders and executives.
  • Strong communication skills with high attention to detail and firm sense of accountability, ownership for an end-to-end project lifecycle.

The Consumer Shopping team is leading a massive transformation to enable Agentic Commerce shifting from traditional search results to proactive, AI-driven shopping experiences across Google surfaces.

As a Program Manager for Shopping on Search and Shared Features, you will sit at the critical intersection of the Consumer Shopping experience and the Merchant Shopping ecosystem. You will be the operational linchpin driving the execution of Google’s most ambitious AI shopping bets.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
