Job summary

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to lead cross-functional programs across SRE, Product and Engineering, from definition through delivery, ensuring transparency in roadmaps and milestones.

You will partner with stakeholders, manage complex initiatives, and promote agile practices across the organization. The role requires deep SDLC understanding and experience with Jira/Confluence in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience in technical or engineering disciplines.
• Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and metric definition best practices.
• Proficiency with Jira and Confluence; familiarity with Agile, SAFe, or Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead program plans with detailed work breakdown structures, resource management, communication plans, and risk mitigation.
• Act as the voice of the program to senior leadership, highlighting dependencies and risks.
• Build relationships across SRE, Product and Engineering to keep projects on track.
• Drive cultural change by championing agile mindsets and best practices.
• Serve as primary contact for escalation and removal of blockers.
