Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead multi-disciplinary energy procurement projects and optimize contract lifecycles across regions. You will partner with legal, finance, engineering, and tax teams to structure PPAs, analyze performance, and drive operational excellence.

You'll design AI-powered automation, build dashboards, and translate complex data into clear executive insights. Strong communication and global collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • 2 years of experience in wholesale electricity markets, utility tariffs, or power purchase agreements in multiple regions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to maximize the value of Google’s global energy contracts (PPAs, wholesale supply agreements, and utility tariffs) while ensuring all performance metrics and compliance requirements are met.
  • Identify, design, and deploy AI solutions, custom automation, and scripting to streamline contract ingestion, automate performance tracking, and scale portfolio operations globally.
  • Synthesize large datasets of complex operational, market, and financial data into clear, compelling narratives and visual presentations that deliver actionable strategic insights back to the business.
  • Own and automate energy portfolios spend tracking, budgeting, and analysis to clearly communicate drivers of energy spend variance at scale.
  • Interpret, analyze, and independently resolve complex issues arising during contract lifecycles, including market operations, regulatory changes, billing disputes, and majeure events.

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • 2 years of experience in wholesale electricity markets, utility tariffs, or power purchase agreements in multiple regions.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience building SQL based queries, creating dashboards and reports, and converting data into insightful actionable information.
  • Proven track record of using artificial intelligence, large language models (LLMs), or scripting to automate repetitive workflows, build tooling, and drive operational efficiency.
  • Strong collaborative program management skills with experience managing complex, global projects that require inputs from cross-functional partners (e.g., legal, tax, finance, engineering).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical operational data into high-level business insights for executive audiences.

US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
