Alcon is seeking a Technical Program Manager for the Digital Twin of the Eye to lead the advanced modeling effort within the Modeling and Simulation Team, shaping strategy and roadmaps for cross‑functional initiatives across R&D.

You will drive multiphysics simulations, manage external partnerships, ensure project milestones, and translate complex biology into robust digital twin capabilities that support device and therapy development at Alcon.

Qualifications

  • 8 years of expertise in Multiphysics Simulation methods and applications to medical devices.
  • 2+ years of experience using AI/ML with simulations.
  • 3 Years of demonstrated project leadership and management experience.
  • Experience in biological tissue modeling.
  • Advanced knowledge of ocular physiology is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in use of various M&S tools from providers such as Ansys, Siemens to healthcare applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Digital Twin vision for the Eye, developing physically realistic multi-physics models that simulate ocular physiology and interactions with Alcon products.
  • Define the strategic roadmap and future direction of digital twin capabilities across multiple technology platforms.
  • Serve as SME in Computational Modeling & Simulation (FEA, CFD) and leverage AI/ML to advance simulation-driven engineering.
  • Assess model credibility and establish verification and validation methodologies.
  • Partner with R&D leaders to define objectives, work plans, and build modeling/simulation capabilities.
  • Establish and manage external partnerships, including academia and industry, overseeing plans, budgets, risks, and milestones.
  • Provide technical leadership to internal and external teams to drive digital twin workstreams.
  • Ensure projects meet timelines, quality, and delivery expectations.
  • Gather requirements, manage vendor activities, and review deliveries for alignment.
  • Build relationships with technical leaders to enable informed decisions.
