Job summary

Actalent in Everett, WA is seeking a Technical Program Manager – Defense Systems to lead complex aerospace and defense programs spanning hypersonics, missiles, propulsion, and integrated defense systems. You will drive hardware programs from planning and development through qualification, production and delivery, aligning technical execution with schedule and contract commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or related field.
• 5+ years engineering experience including at least 2 years in aerospace or systems engineering.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams on complex technical efforts.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, scope, and technical risks on engineering or hardware programs.
• Hands-on program execution experience with driving results.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams in design, development, analysis, and testing of mechanical and pyrotechnic components and systems.
• Guide programs through the full lifecycle from planning to delivery of complex aerospace and defense hardware.
• Interface with customers and leadership for clear communication and status alignment.
• Support business development with proposals and capture activities.
• Ensure documentation of drawings, reports, plans, and presentations.
• Track program performance using key metrics and mitigate risks.
