Job summary

Google is seeking an executive-level Technical Program Manager for Data Center Capacity Delivery to lead hyperscale development programs from site selection through construction and handover.

You will direct multi-gigawatt portfolios, drive delivery schedules, and manage AI/ML insertions with a strong emphasis on safety and cross-functional collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• 8 years of experience delivering hyperscale data center capacity from greenfield to operations.
• 5 years of experience managing multi-hundred megawatt infrastructure delivery programs with portfolio values over $1B.
• 5 years of technical experience with high-density power delivery, substations, MEP/FP/Controls coordination, and fast-track design-build construction.
• 5 years of experience in commercial management, including GMP contract negotiation and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Direct the complete lifecycle of hyperscale data center builds, including entitlements, permitting, design, procurement, fast-track construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Oversee multi-gigawatt capacity portfolios ($5B+ contract value), with accountability for schedule, cost, quality, and risk across campuses.
• Manage high-density compute capacity deployment, including late-stage tech insertions for GPU/TPU infra, high-density power, and advanced cooling.
• Align internal teams with primary GC, EC, and MC contractors to ensure capacity releases and execution.
• Establish site culture standards across large contractor workforces to maintain safety metrics and regional delivery models.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• 8 years of experience in executive leadership delivering hyperscale data center capacity from greenfield builds to operational readiness.
• 5 years of experience managing multi-hundred megawatt infrastructure delivery programs with portfolio values exceeding $1B.
• 5 years of technical experience with high-density power delivery, substations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing/Fire Protection (MEP/FP)/Controls coordination, and fast-track design-build construction.
• 5 years of experience in commercial management, including GMP contract negotiation, cost control, and general contractor supplier management.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration (MBA).
• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience managing liquid cooling, direct-to-chip, and late-stage hardware insertions for high-density GPU/TPU AI clusters.
• Demonstrated expertise maintaining industry-leading safety standards (TRIR < 0.5) across large, multi-site contractor workforces.
• Proven track record of driving sustainable construction initiatives and achieving low carbon footprint data center developments.
• Proficiency with construction management tools such as Procore, MS Project, BIM 360, e-Builder, and enterprise procurement platforms.
